Konami has just unveiled an exciting holiday release: the Quarter Century Bonanza set.
This special collection is packed with rare, high-value cards designed to thrill both collectors and duelists alike.
Here’s a complete breakdown of what we know so far.
What Is the Quarter Century Bonanza?
Are you ready for more “Quarter Century Secret Rares”?
This new set expands on the popular Rarity Collection booster series, building on previous editions like “Rarity Collection” and “Rarity Collection 2”.
The Quarter Century Bonanza offers a unique chance to collect cards in some of the most prestigious rarities ever featured, including the “Prismatic Ultimate Rare,” “Prismatic Collector’s Rare,” “Platinum Secret Rare,” and the iconic Quarter Century Secret Rare.
Key Features of Quarter Century Bonanza
This collection stands out with its innovative rarity distribution. Unlike previous sets, each pack in the Quarter Century Bonanza guarantees a luxury Secret Rare.
Every time you open a pack, you’re assured of finding either a “Platinum Secret Rare” or a “Quarter Century Secret Rare”.
Each pack draws from a curated selection of 200 exclusive cards, with one luxury Secret Rare guaranteed per pack.
Additionally, the set includes 78 popular tournament cards, including reprints of “Diabellstar the Black Witch” and “Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames”, the best-selling card of 2024.
Card Line-Up
While the complete card list is still under wraps, we do know the Quarter Century Bonanza set is split into two distinct card groups:
Core 78-Card Line-Up
This core set includes cards available in a variety of rarities, from Super Rare and Ultra Rare to Secret Rare and even luxury versions.
Confirmed cards in this line-up include “Diabellstar the Black Witch,” “Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames,” and “Super Polymerization”.
Interestingly, all of these have Quarter Century Secret Rare versions. However, not every card in this 78-card pool will feature that rarity.
Players can still obtain a Prismatic Ultimate Rare version of “Diabellstar” though.
Nostalgia Card Pool
This extensive group comprises 200 nostalgic cards, available only as Platinum Secret Rares or Quarter Century Secret Rares.
Each pack includes one card from this nostalgia pool, but with slim odds of pulling specific cards, these are primarily collector’s items.
Fans can look forward to classic Duel Monsters cards like “Giant Soldier of Stone,” “Gemini Elf,” and “Harpie Lady”—perfect for anyone looking to relive the early days of Yu-Gi-Oh with high-value collector’s pieces.
Rarity Distribution in Quarter Century Bonanza
The Quarter Century Bonanza rarity distribution follows the format of prior Rarity Collection sets but includes a notable twist.
Each 5-card pack utilizes the “RA01” system, but with one Super Rare slot replaced by a guaranteed luxury Secret Rare from the nostalgia pool.
Here’s the detailed breakdown:
Nostalgia Slot
This slot always contains either a Platinum Secret Rare or Quarter Century Secret Rare from the 200-card nostalgia pool.
Super Rare Slot
Limited to one per pack, this slot cannot be upgraded.
Ultra Rare Slots
Two Ultra Rare slots are included per pack, each with a 1-in-6 chance of being upgraded to either a Prismatic Ultimate Rare or a Collector’s Rare.
Secret Rare Slot
This slot has a 1-in-4 chance of becoming a Platinum Secret Rare or Quarter Century Secret Rare.
It’s important to note that, unlike previous Rarity Collection sets, some cards in the 78-card pool cannot be upgraded to Quarter Century Secret Rares.
For instance, if you pull a Quarter Century Secret Rare from the Secret Rare slot, it won’t be a card that already has this rarity with identical artwork, like “Diabellstar,” “Promethean Princess,” or “Super Polymerization”.
Last Chance for Quarter Century Secret Rares
Time is running out to get your hands on Quarter Century Secret Rares.
Konami has confirmed that this rarity will be retired after the 25th Anniversary Celebration.
This makes Quarter Century Bonanza the final opportunity to collect over 200 cards in this one-of-a-kind rarity.
Stay tuned for further updates on the set. And in the meantime, let us know on our social channels which cards you’re hoping to see in Quarter Century Secret Rare form before they disappear!
